One Coat of Paint

Well the weekend was pretty busy for us. Ken came home from work on Friday at noon because he wanted to have the rest of the beautiful day off. He got home and started working on the upstairs again. He put another coat of primer on the walls. So that will be it for the primer. On Saturday night Ken put one coat of the pain color on the walls that will be that color. We chose two different colors one for the primary color and the other as an accent color that matches out current bedding and cutains. It dried really nice but still needs another coat of paint. It will be put on hold for a couple days. Ken has to do homework today when he gets home from school. Maybe on Tuesday we will be able to start the second coat of the first color. It is coming along very nice and I can not wait till we get the carpet because that is the next huge step in the process. It is a huge room and I never really realized that we added 456 extra square feet of living space onto our house. That should really come in handy when we go to sell it in a couple years. I can not wait to see how the paint color looks after the second coat. We always choose satin as our pain finish because it is washable yet does not have the look of the shiny semi-gloss finish. I don't understand why people would even out that on their walls. I can not wait for the first day we get to sleep in our new room. We are shooting for the end of April since we still need to get carpet and have it installed.
