Date with mom

This Saturday was my first date with mom. I really hated that if fell on the same day that Ken's dad party was on because i wanted to do both. We never visit with them but mom and I had tickets to this event for over a month. I told Ken that I really needed to leave his dads by six thirty to get to where I was going with mom. I said maybe we should take separate cars so he would not have to leave. He did not want to do that for some reason. He said he would be ready to leave by then anyways. Well I was late going with mom so Ken had to drive me there because mom left without me. I was a little upset just because we planned it so long ago. However we did have a great time. I just wish Ken would have taken my advice and drove separately so the kids could have enjoyed their other grandpa longer.
