Swine flu

There is so much talk about the swine flu. I was thinking about getting the kids the vaccine but then I found out that the doctors offices are not giving the vaccine only the health departments are handing them out. I knew that I would have to wait in line for many hours to get it and even then there was no guarantee. Well as life would have it I was talking about getting the vaccine this Saturday at Crete Monee school and the next day I started to feel a little under the weather myself. Well I began to develop a cough and a stuffy nose then later in the day a fever of 102.5. Well that night I made a doctors appointment and I found out that I was indeed positive for the swine flu virus. Ken took off work today so that he could take care of the kids since I am highly contagious for three days. I am relieved this happened on the weekend that's for sure. As for the swine flu and all the hype its really not that terrible I guess. I had a fever yesterday but I think I broke it last night because I have not been taking anything and it's gone. I do feel 100% better than I did the other day thankfully. I feel I am already on the road to recovery. Our family doctor said that if you are a healthy person you really don't have much to worry about, and he said I healthy so I will be just fine. That really made me feel better since I have heard so much bad about this virus.
