Just Us

Well the kids are all snug in their bed already. It is a little sad that the weekend is almost over but I can't help but think that Christmas is just right around the corner and soon Ken will have eleven days off in a row as he will be taking a couple vacation days between the holidays. Ken worked this past Saturday to make up for the Friday he took off so he did not have to use any vacation. That is one good thing about being salary, you can always make up your hours. We tried to do little Christmas shopping that we had left and we are now done with both our families but still have a couple things left to get for the kids. They have just about every single toy on the market so it makes it a little hard to buy for them. Maddie will be getting a doll house this year and Ben a tag reading system since he is always trying to read. It's crazy that this year will almost be over already. We are still debating on sending Maddie to preschool next year. That will mean she will have three years of it before kindergarten because she has a late birthday. I know when I was little preschool was not really even considered people mainly thought of it as a daycare. I don't know why because I have always thought it was super good for small kids. I just don't know what I will do with her and Ben gone. We still have time to decide, but will probably go for it anyways. Time sure does fly by around this time of year, I guess we all just get lost in the hustle and bustle.
