Enjoyed our Day

What a beautiful summer day it was today. I have to say that I really enjoyed the day today because it was nice and sunny and in the shade it was nice and cool. There was a very nice breeze all day long. We got up kind of early today but we did not attend church because we went to Saturday evening service instead. It was nice to spend the whole day outside and I have to say we all enjoyed the day together but differently. Ken started the day by mowing the grass and doing the weed whacking while I was busy doing a couple posts that were needing to get finished. Maddie and Ben pretty much played with all the little kids in the neighborhood all day long. They played in the boys down the streets sprinkler and they collected aunts and put them in a bug box of Bens. Then when they were finished with that they made some "aunt soup". Sounds pretty yummy huh? I have to say the kids really enjoyed the day today. Aidan pretty much enjoyed the day outside also but as you can see in the picture below that is pretty much what he did all day. By the time it was 6 o'clock we came in for dinner and a bath for the three of them. They were really dirty. And now Ken is reading books to Ben and Maddie and I am again finishing up posting. I just laid Aidan down for another nap. Ken and I have a movie planned for later tonight after we sit outside and watch the Steger fireworks that are going on tonight. We always put the kids to bed and watch them for our front porch. It is the best view without the crowd.
