I remember when...

I remember when I was in school. I tell you it is so different than it is today. It seems like it was not to long ago but in actuality I guess it has been a while. I noticed that since I was in school they have greatly increased their security measures. I remember when the front door of the school was always unlocked and anyone could walk in without first stopping at the school office and getting buzzed in. They also now have computers and telephones in all the classrooms unlike the office lady bringing in a note to the teacher if they had received a message. I guess since times change so do the security measures. They now have school alert systems to alert everyone of an emergency. That is one of the changes that I think they should have done many years ago even when I was younger. It is easy to install in fact it can be done in only one day. It's so hard to see you kids grow up and go to school, but nice to know they are safe.
